Veracio, previously part of Boart Longyear as the Geological Data Services division, has emerged with innovative contributions to the mining technology landscape through the unveiling of their latest orebody knowledge tools. The newly introduced products, TruScan TruProbe and Strata, represent a significant advancement in the exploration, resource definition, and production phases of mining globally, setting a new standard for efficiency and digital integration in the field.

At the core of these developments is TruScan 2, equipped with the cutting-edge HyperXRF technology. This innovative mineralogical solution is seamlessly integrated into Veracio’s core scanning platform, creating a dual data stream by merging hyperspectral and XRF scanning capabilities. Enhanced quality assurance and quality control procedures back the innovative scanning technology. The outcome is a remarkably fast turnaround, providing teams with comprehensive scanning and mineralogical data, including both chips and core analyses, within a 24-hour window. Veracio has laid out a timeline for the deployment of TruScan 2, with field trials set to begin in early Q2, leading to the first deliveries to customers by Q3 of 2024.

Veracio’s CEO, JT Clark, expressed the company’s dedication to revolutionizing orebody knowledge utilization. Through strategic acquisitions like Minalyze and the launch of innovative technologies, Veracio aims to transform the mining industry’s approach from exploration to production. One such innovation is TruProbe, a sophisticated blend of rig and downhole sensing technologies. TruProbe leverages Veracio’s TruGyro technology, incorporating a robust gamma sensor to facilitate simultaneous logging of borehole deviation and gamma measurements. This device is complemented by a complementary app, offering connectivity to an azimuth rig aligner and a wireless depth counter, enhancing operational accuracy and efficiency.

Furthermore, Strata, Veracio’s cloud technology environment, is set for significant enhancements throughout 2024. This platform offers a comprehensive suite of sophisticated software solutions designed to work seamlessly with Veracio’s hardware, further cementing the company’s role in the digital transformation of orebody science.
